Here's the effort being made to support bicycle commuting for Tech employees: racks located in the EE parking lot (which is in the Research Secure Zone). Here's the story for the Village Secure Zone: First ACOG said that bikes would be allowed in the VSZ, but you'd have to register them. Then a month before lockdown, they said that only 25 bikes will be allowed; then a few days later, they changed their mind again and said no bikes allowed at all. Word on the street has it that there will be bikes in the VSZ, but only the official BMW Olympic mountain bikes (rumored to be pretty crappy) being shipped in especially for the Games.
