I'm trying really hard not to use View from the Village as my own personal soapbox, but this shot just burns me up: Holiday Inn is putting up an express hotel in the corner lot where Pero's once was. What angers me is that Pero's was torn down long ago (rumor has it that Coke owns the land and booted them) and now they're putting a stupid hotel in that lot! (not that Pero's was such an awesome restaurant, but it sure was great for a change of pace...). Add to that that Pero's was torn down over a year ago and this Holiday Inn won't be ready until after the Olympics!
