April Fool's Day 1997

For April Fool's Day 1997, I took inspiration from Ami's failed applet page of 1996 and decided to go with a simple trick: the page would load and then disappear.

I played with the idea of using JavaScript to make it work perfectly, but in the end, decided to keep things simple and just have the images disappear. This was done by making all the images on the page into two-framed animated GIFs (the second frame being a blank white background).

The bottom right of the page saw the introduction of my April Fool's Buzz (part of my Buzz collection). Strangely, the only negative feedback that I heard about was that several people called into complain about the UGA-inspired Buzz Fool (I think they saw it as a Buzz blasphemy).
