Another year, another not-as-funny-as-it-could-be press-release joke. Sigh. We finally get a non-weekend April Fools day, and we went for another funny story joke.

To my knowledge we didn't get one single email about it. No one wrote in to praise it, and no one slammed it. Imagine the sound of crickets chirping and that was April 1st, 2002.

While it was a bit weak, I hoped to get at least a chuckle or two from the locals. Most importantly, I was able to get the the traditional dig in at UGA (the Athens diary entry). Maybe that made it all worth it in the end. ;-)
